This just in: Forest Whitaker is celebrating after what must go down as Hollywood's most unlikely casting call in living memory. Yes, that's right, 47-year-old Whitaker (although we think he looks much older), best remembered for his Oscar-winning portrayal of Idi Amin in 2007's The Last King of Scotland, is slated to play Spiderman in the superhero's latest scripted outing.
Director Sam Raimi said, "I wasn't the one behind this decision, but I would have to say I stand by it 100 percent. Forest has always had a fantastic presence, albeit mainly due to his strange eyes which always seem to be looking in opposite directions... it's hilarious!"
